Council of Insured Persons

The Council of Insured Persons meets at least twice a year with a delegation from the board and management of EUCARE to advise on, for example, our healthcare procurement or communication with customers. But topics such as our products, handling of complaints and our supplementary insurance are also discussed.

The Council is a delegation of all EUCARE health insured in the Netherlands. The main condition is that you are insured with us with at least basic insurance. We are looking for a mixed representation of our customers, for example in terms of age, gender and place of residence, who want to make our health insurance policies even better.

The Council of Insured Persons consists of at least 6 members. A member is appointed for a term of four years, with the option of a four-year extension. The Insurance Council meets at least twice a year with a delegation from the board and management of EUCARE. Topics on the agenda include healthcare purchasing policy, the annual report and the general state of affairs.

The board of EUCARE can also ask the Council of Insured Persons to advise on specific topics. Of course, the Insured Council can also issue unsolicited advice.

As a member you receive a lot of information about the state of affairs at a health insurer and it is possible to advise EUCARE on matters that you consider important for the customers of a health insurer.

EUCARE reimburses the expenses incurred and also offers the opportunity to follow the masterclass for members’ councils at Zorgverzekeraars Nederland.
